A warm welcome awaits visitors to The Swan - where all the staff are superb…

Pros: This is a lovely hotel situated on the edge of gorgeous Grasmere. The room was warm and very quiet so a good night’s sleep was guaranteed. Well worth visiting again.

Cons: There was nothing to dislike.

Pros: Location and decor. Staff generally very pleasant snd helpful.

Cons: Would be nicer with a comfy area with coffee tables to sit with a beer. We ordered desserts and barman forgot to process the order so waited a lengthy period at the table. A more imaginative vegetarian menu would be great

Pros: Great location. Staff very friendly. We booked the cosy double but it was actually a very good size! Dinner and breakfast was lovely.

Cons: No hairdryer in room which was a shame Shower cubicle is small, not an issue for us but might be if limited mobility.

Stunning views everywhere.

Pros: Friendly welcoming staff, nice open fires, great food. Fantastic views all around the hotel and 5 minutes walk to Grassmere.

Cons: Nothing everything was good.

Pros: Cosy pub, friendly atmosphere. Good base for exploring local area.

Cons: Log burner wasn't working in one of the dining areas. Staff advised me that it was going to be repaired.

Comfortable, and what was required for my short stay.

Pros: The catering arrangements were excellent. The bar / eating seating and ordering worked very well, both in the evening and at breakfast. The room was comfortable and well-appointed.
