Excellent food and wine, bright modern rooms.

Pros: Beautiful breakfast, excellent wine list, rooms are clean and interesting, well appointed, light and airy. Friendly staff if a little formal.

Cons: The restaurant doesn’t look that formal but it is in its own way, the menu was just tasting menus when we were there which is fine given the Michelin star nature but still limiting. No where to walk to but nice quiet location.

Excellent in everyway.

Pros: Excellent breakfast, really high quality and beautifully presented. Especially liked the homemade granola with yogurt and fruit compote. Lovely view across the countryside. The room was very comfortable, luxurious and had everything you could need. Nice touches like a homemade flapjack by the bed. Staff were friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend.

A beautiful, top quality stay

Pros: The room, including the bathroom as excellent, super clean and chic. The breakfast was delicious and although we only stayed a very short amount of time (after our wedding) the staff made us feel so welcome.

Superb. Better than we ever expected

Pros: Room, food service and staff were all the best they could be. It was an exceptional experience. The tasting menu is to die for. The attention to detail and the care shown towards us , we have never before experienced. It has a Michelin star and its obvious why.

Cons: Yes, its expensive but you get what you pay for. And the room, food and service was easily worth the money.

Pros: Superbly furnished and fitted rooms. Very comfortable. Great place for a stopover en route to Scotland and for foodies, so for us it ticked both those boxes on this our 2nd visit .Amazing evening taster menu followed by a delicious breakfast. Highly recommended!
