Pros: The food was amazing, the staff were so friendly and couldnt so enough for you. We loved it so much were booking to go back

Cons: If were being picky there was a few cobwebs but its old building, everything was great.

Pros: The room was spacious and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they are very helpful and friendly. Great dinner and breakfast.

I was in need of rest and recouperation and I got it along with a warm welcome and fantastic service

Pros: This is a lovely traditional inn, I arrived soaked and exhausted and in need of recouperation, the staff and the setting made me feel instantly at home, after a few beers by the fire I was well on my way to feeling great. I can’t stress enough how friendly and helpful the staff are. The room was comfortable and well enough equipped, wifi is half decent despite being in the middle of the hills. It’s a beautiful location with dozens of great walks on the doorstep. Prices are high in the area but this place was reasonable for what you get. I had a big proper breakfast with copious bacon included in the price, felt it was great value.

Cons: I can’t easily fault this place for the price it could be more luxurious but then the price would need to be far higher and I wanted for nothing so I’d not change a thing.

Pros: 2 night stay, excellent base to explore the duddon valley. Simple, clean and comfortable accommodation. Excellent food and drink. Friendly and helpful staff.

Cons: Teh room is above the bar/restaurant with little sound proofing in the flooring so you can hear people chatting downstairs.

A hidden gem in a remote and tranquil location with plenty to explore and take in

Pros: A big thank you for offering clean and comfy accomodation and great food to walkers in a remote and beautiful location. You make such a difference to walking and staying in the Duddon Valley :))) and helping me to do the Wainwrights (Hard Knott, Harter Fell and Green Crag) on foot.
