The extensively-refurbished Bridge House Hotel is set in Grasmere, directly across from St Oswalds Church and the graveyard where William Wordsworth rests. Great staff, breakfast and afternoon tea offer. Room was great and the bar was nice in the evening too. We’ll be back.

Pros: The room was great, shower was brilliant and the room overall was lovely. Staff were friendly and the breakfast space and bar were great, as was the balcony by the river. Really felt at home.

Pros: Lovely room by the river, comfy bed and nice bathroom. Staff were very welcoming and free scones from 1-6pm.

Really nice small hotel. Staff make you feel very welcome. Great trip.

Pros: Quiet. Cosy feel. Loved the log burner. Very relaxed atmosphere. Coffee and pastries available all day.

Wonderful!

Pros: We stayed in one of the cottage rooms, never stayed in one of those before and it was very comfortable. We do prefer the main hotel rooms and have stayed several times before. The staff were different from last year, and they were all very friendly. The breakfast was delicious, as was the cream tea. The location is perfect for Grasmere, walking and getting the bus into Ambleside and Keswick. It's just a lovely hotel.

Excellent Hotel. We’ll be back

Pros: Spacious well equipped room. Good facilities in an excellent setting. The staff - Juliet in particular- were all fantastic.

Cons: A fridge in the room would be nice but that’s our only quibble

Comfy cosy and lovely surroundings

Pros: Location of this hotel was gorgeous set just off the main rod but very peaceful and quiet. Arrived just after 7pm staff was lovely and gave us a warm welcome very helpful. Rooms was comfy cosy and views was stunning! Breakfast the next morning was included in the price of the room. I have coeliac and they was so helpful and made sure everything was done perfect for me! I would definitely be booking to stay here again x

Pros: Beautiful scenery, quiet and relaxing hotel and such friendly and helpful staff, the complimentary pastries and tea/coffee in the afternoon is a wonderful touch,all in all and excellent place to stay.

Pros: The hotel was perfect. Room 101 was amazing and just what we needed. Huge bedroom and bathroom. Staff very friendly and always 9n hand to help.
