The Inn at Ravenglass

A fantastic room with even better views.

Pros: Superb room, extremely spacious with outstanding views over the estuary.

Cons: Bed a bit hard.

Lovely place to stay.

Pros: The breakfast (extra) was gorgeous. The location was ideal for the family to meet up.

Cons: The steep concrete steps up to our room.

Great location & room

Pros: The location was great & the room was so lovely & spacious. Fantastic sea view from the room.

Cons: The outside approach, to the room was worrying as its in need of repairs, paint & looks such a mess.

The best of the best!!

Pros: Wow! And WOW!! We stayed in the suite at the Inn - a large bedroom cum sitting room cum dining room with three picture windows overlooking the estuary. The bathroom was the size of an average sitting room with a double ended freestanding bath, a large shower and his & hers wash basins!! (and a loo, of course). Dining etc was provided a couple of doors up the road at the Pennington - excellent service, great friendly staff, and a menu choice to die for!! Everything about the Inn (and the Pennington) was first class!!

Parents loved it

Pros: Booked on behalf of my parents as they were visiting Raveglass for the railway tour and the Inn is only 2 minutes walk away. They only had good things to say about the Inn and were very impressed with the look and feel of the room and mentioned how nice the view was from the window.

A Surprise package

Pros: Such an unexpected bonus. Thought it was just going to be a place to stay as a needs must but it was so much more. A surprise delight. The food in bar was exceptional. We eat in France a lot and this gave it a run for its money.

Enjoyed our stay despite the inconvenience of being 50 yards from the main hotel. Would have been a different story had

Pros: The room was was well equipped and comfortable and had wonderful sea views

Cons: The room was owned and managed by the Pennington Hotel, located 50 yards down the road, where check in/out took place and breakfast had to be taken. Access to the room was by an external open staircase from the waste bin area of a pub called The Inn at Pennington. Only suitable for the agile/ able bodied, but the barman did offer to help. Shower was very restricted

Peaceful stay with lovely views

Pros: Beautiful views, lovely and clean, good at the hotel who run the accommodation excellent.

Cons: The access at the back of the property was through the inn’s backyard which was rather dirty but once inside the property it was lovely. (The inn downstairs is nothing to do with the accommodation.)

Pros: The room was clean tidy and had and excellent view with good facilities

Muncaster castle and Ravenglass visit.

Pros: Very helpful staff, and our room and bathroom were huge ! Great views from the room over the estuary.
