Little Gem

Pros: A little gem of a cottage. Great location for heading to Keswick, just a short drive away. It was a great base for all our days out, to be honest. Had everything we needed. Beds were so comfy, and the sound of the waterfall outside was an added bonus. Really good communication from host also. Can't wait to stay again.

Home from home

Pros: This place really did feel like at home I was so comfortable. That master room mattress wasn't fo me but it didn't dampen the mood. Great kitchen great cosy traditional living room and the girls bed was comfortable they said. Location was brilliant for finding different walks. I'm blind and I really loved being there with my family. Stopped me being a moody sod fo a few days lol Be booking again shortly.

Cons: Other than the mattress but everyone different so I wouldn't say it was something I couldn't cope with. I loved the place

Pros: A very homely cottage with good facilities and a decent access to the lakes.

Cons: The stairs were very steep and the carpet was very slippery and the 4 th step was not level which resulted in my wife falling on our last day. She sprained her ankle which is now very painful. The toilet and shower being downstairs made visits at night very difficult.

Highly recommend to anyone to stay here. Great walks on your door step. A view of skiddaw from the front room was a nic

Pros: Was a lovely little cottage which suited all our needs. Was very warm and welcoming as soon as you walk through the door.

Cons: Nothing to do with the property it’s self or its location. There was a wasp next outside the front door which didn’t help. Can’t help nature, but couldn’t open windows in kitchen when cooking.

Beautifull

Pros: The property is in a super location with beautiful views . You can walk to various streams dog walks are full of beautiful views

Cons: The stairs are very steep in the property so maybe not suitable for people that are unsteady on their feet

Quaint cottage in great location.

Pros: Location was perfect, walked to Braithewaite, walked to Viewing point Whinlatter forest and over to St Mary's church grounds. Short drive to Keswick and Bassenthwaite lake. Cottage was clean, there were games for the family to play. Easy instructions left for all appliances.

Cons: Hairdryer didn't work but that is literally only negative I could find.

Lovely hideaway in the heart of the forest and lakes.

Pros: Located in a quiet setting next to the forest and handy for walks. Nice views out of the lounge.

Cons: Downstairs loo/bathroom not ideal but knew about that at the time of booking. Stairs steep.

Pros: We had a wonderful time in a quiet place with beautiful views. The cottage is very clean and cozy. The kitchen was equipped with everything we wanted.

Pros: Perfect location for northern lakes and walking. Clean, warm and lovely to light the fire. Comfortable beds and good facilities. Views of Skiddaw and walks out to Whinlatter forest.

Cons: Nothing.
