Jacquie's B&B -Dumfries-Room with a view

A wonderful stay

Pros: Lovely view very comfortable Hostess was excellent nothing too much trouble Such a lovely place will be returning back

Pros: Host was very helpful and welcoming Place was quiet Location is easy to find B&b was clean and nicely decorated Breakfast was continental with a choice of fry up (we didnt have fry up though)

Cons: Unfortunately due to a technical issue that couldnt be helped the hot tub had to be shared with another couple however we did come to a compromise and everyone was happy but was slightly disappointing. Owner was extremely helpful and apologetic though and cannot fault how she handled the unfortunate situation.

We arrived as guests and left as friends.

Pros: Everything about it was fantastic. We made 4 great friends Jacquie, Dave, Heidi and Dougle. We had a great time sitting out into the evening and watching the sun set and the moon rise. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, our hosts were fantastic and all 4 were very special. Dave had some great stories of his experiences which kept us enthralled and it felt like a real home from home and we were made to feel truly welcome. The breakfast was fantastic with loads of choice and the addition of a sun room was genius. Comfortable, welcoming, clean spacious an great views plus great friendly hosts to guide your days out. It was fantastic. We will be back.

Cons: It was all gone all too quick, other than that there was nothing not to like.

What a great place to stay

Pros: The owners are so kind and lovely, I had lots of chats with them during the stay, and they loved playing and spending time with my kids. The breakfast is so big, we could never finish it, and we were in 4 to stay, fresh coffee, fresh milk, and fresh orange juice. There is a sun room where my kids loved to spend some time watching a bit of tv or colouring, there is a big barbecue outside that can be used. The 2 bedrooms were so spacious and so we'll organised, very clean and comfortable. The private bathroom, between the 2 rooms we had it was so bright inside, and so spacious. The shower is very nice. The place is so big and open, the garden is so well look after and the hot tub is facing an incredible view. My daughter was incredible sad to leave

David and Jacquie were excellent hosts catered to our every need including looking after us both above and beyond

Pros: The property was excellent better than I had thought everything was clean tidy well kept facilities were easy to use

Cons: Nothing but having to leave to go back home

Pros: Beautiful cottage in the best rural spot, beds were comfortable and facilities spotless. Scottish breakfast is fabulous & worth the extra. My stay was unplanned and extended - Jacqui & Dave were so welcoming and supportive - highly recommend.

Amazing place

Pros: Attention to detail, amazing owners who couldn't do enough whilst respecting your privacy. Super flexible and so very kind. Home from home, Lovely set up.

Pros: Lovely remote house with beautiful views over Dumfries and very quiet. The beds were very comfortable and all spotless. We enjoyed the breakfasts on both mornings. Jaqqi and Dave were lovely hosts and nothing was too much bother for them.

Very nice relaxing break to celebrate my birthday

Pros: Although it was a bed and breakfast you still had an area of your own away from the bedroom to relax

Cons: Everything was fine - apart from quilt on bed too hot but Jacquie did offer to change it and we visited when the sun was out !
