Pros: The location of the cottage was in a quiet country location but within easy reach of the small town of Dalbeattie. The cottage was well equipped, comfortable and clean and the owner, Jamie, could not have been more helpful.

Cons: There was nothing we didn't like

Lovely stay in a lovely little cottage.

Pros: It was a great size for our family and very well presented. It was exceptionally well stocked.

Cons: It was a bit too warm upstairs on warm days which could easily be resolved by a fan especially in the master bedroom where the boiler is situated in one of the cupboards.

Pros: Burnbank was a lovely cottage in a tranquil village. An ideal place for a quiet family break away from it all. The well equipped cottage was a haven to return to at the end of the day after exploring local sights. It is only a few minutes drive to Dalbeattie where most things you might need can be found. We found it easy to travel to Dumfries, Kirkcudbright, Castle Douglas, Kippford and so on. Our dogs were also comfortable with pleasant local strolls on the doorstep and longer walks in surrounding areas. Neighbours all seemed friendly too. A very pleasant week away from the bustle of everyday life.

Cons: The property only has one, relatively small bathroom which for just two of us wasn't such an issue but perhaps with a larger family could be painful. An additional toilet would improve things. Being an old cottage it did have a slight damp smell but probably to be expected in damper periods of the year. Once the windows had been wide open for a couple of days it was much fresher.

Heerlijk huis in heel rustige omgeving

Pros: Fijne cottage in een rustig dorpje. Een cottage met een beetje extra service. Zo waren er koekjes en melk bij aankomst en mochten we de spullen (vaatwastabletten, wasmiddel, thee, koffie etc) in huis gebruiken mits we ze aanvulden als ze op waren. Bedden waren voor ons perfect. Ook kregen we vooraf een uitgebreide mail met alle informatie.

Cons: De waterdruk van de douche was beperkt, wel goed warm. Op een hogere stand zetten werkte wel om haren te kunnen wassen.
