Great accommodation. Surrounded my wildlife. Excellent location.

Pros: A lovely well maintained, large lodge. Very clean with comfortable beds and good quality white bedding. Great shower. Nice size TV and everything you need in the kitchen. The fresh eggs were delicious. Our two dogs were safe in the secure private garden area. Excellent location for the Lakes and the coast. The owners are friendly but also allowed us to enjoy our stay with privacy. The alpacas, donkeys and horses are adorable. We saw a red squirrel eating on the wooden verandah. Perfect! Next time we’re staying for a week - or two!

Cons: All good

An excellence peaceful and relaxing spot with the comforts needed in a relaxed environment.

Pros: An excellence peaceful and relaxing spot with the comforts needed in a relaxed environment. The window and patio doors were fab for watching for wildlife including birds of prey and red squirrels. Loved the thought that had gone into some of the provisions such as the binoculars and the night light to go out with the dogs in the dark. The kitchen was well equipped with lots of utensils and cleaning products. The eggs were also a lovely touch and very tasty! Thank you :)

Cons: Just one minor point that some of the cooking trays are ready for replacement but it was not a major issue at all.

Oasis of calm.

Pros: Beautiful place, very quiet. Lodge is exceptionally clean, spacious and equipped in everything you may need. It honestly is a perfect place to relax and unwind or as a base to explore the area. We will definitely come back very soon. Fresh eggs left for us were delicious. There was red squirrel visiting and plenty of birds.

Cons: All was perfect.

Pros: Lovely accommodation, very clean and comfortable. Beds extremely comfortable with 2 bathrooms, 1 en suite and again very clean. The hosts left plenty of fresh eggs for us from the farm and lots of little essentials, such as tea, coffee, sugar and chocolate biscuits! Plenty of cleaning materials, toilet rolls etc. They thought of everything.....we didn't need to use most things as we bought our own with us but the eggs and biscuits were very much appreciated....thank you.Such a lovely, thoughtful touch. Towels provided also. The lodge is situated in its own private compound with the alpacas, horses, donkey and chickens very close by. Still a very quiet and tranquil stay! We spotted the little red squirrel on our last day eating food behind the back bedroom window! We hope to go back to stay maybe when we get some better weather. Although it rained every day during our stay, it didn't spoil our 4 day break. Would highly recommend the Alpaca Lodge.

Possibly The Best West Cumbrian Accomodation

Pros: The lodge is like a tardis. Once your in through the front door you’ll be wowed by the internal dimensions. It’s huge. Two bathrooms. Essential. The log burning stove is a furnace. Brilliant. Plenty of hot water and great pressure for a good shower. Fast internet and smart tv.

Cons: The mattress topper on the bed. Not a great night’s sleep. Could be a bit cleaner. The electric radiators make a beeping noise as they heat up/cool down. But provide great heat, it’s a trade off.
