A lovely cottage in a fantastic setting. We’d come again.

Pros: We really liked the location and the views over the countryside which were stunning. The cottage was well equipped and we also liked the outside garden area with the table and chairs.

Cons: Each time the shower was turned on it went very cold then very hot before settling at the chosen temperature. The double bed was creaky and we saw 2 sheets of wood had been put under the mattress.

A relaxing stay in a lovely cottage with stunning views

Pros: The views from all the windows are stunning and the cottage itself is beautifully clean and well appointed

Cons: The single beds are a little creaky but comfortable nonetheless. The garden itself needs a little tlc.

Pros: I liked everything about the property it was warm and welcoming nice and remote which we wanted close enough for nice walks with the dogs but close enough to Dumfries where my mum lives
