Solo travel

Pros: Loved the room rain shower dinner was amazing breakfast aswell bed was comfy maybe a wee but to soft but was good room had all I needed

Cons: Having to leave to go back to parent duty lol

Fab hotel, worth a visit!

Pros: Stopover on way home from Ireland. Impressive driveway up to impressive building. Warm welcome from Manager Aidan, rooms nice, traditional and clean. Food was lovely. Will be back!

Cons: Quite a lot of walking to bedrooms but it’s the hotel style.

Pros: The hotel was lovely and the staff were very nice, pleasant and helpful. If you had a question about anything they were good at answering it for you. The breakfast was really good as well.

Cons: The only thing that we didn't like was one of our evening meals. The steak dinner was a bit weird. The steak was a bit dry also having potatoes and chips was a bit unusual plus having mac n cheese on the plate which was very watery,not like any mac n cheese that I have eaten before. The other meal which was surf and turf was good, so with only having these meals for the first time was not the best experience maybe trying something else might be a bit better next time.

Fabulous Hotel

Pros: Excellent hotel, maintained to a high standard and all staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was amazing too!

Cons: Room was a bit on the chilly side despite heating being on, but there was a plug in mobile radiator which we had to use upon arrival and again early in the morning but it was exceptionally cold outside.

Ok but not value for money

Pros: Good location Shower was excellent Ample parking Night porter service

Cons: The room was over the restaurant and music from there could be heard during meal times. The heating going off over night is not helpful if you come in late! Breakfast quality was average and did not match price.

Hidden gem

Pros: The evolution of this hotel since the RAD group took it over is amazing. It’s glam in a contemporary and understated way with fantastic fixtures and fittings that are amazing quality. Combine this with a high levels of comfort and cleanliness along with delightfully helpful staff and it’s a bit of a hidden gem in the Dumfriesshire countryside.

Cons: The room, especially the bathroom, was very cool on arrival. However, the radiators were soon nice and warm and room was toasty all night.

Pros: Lovely service, very comfy beds, and pretty good food

A short but very sweet stay as always.

Pros: 3rd year in a row we have stayed here, we travel 4 hours for our daughter skating comp and always choose this hotel due to the comfort and cozy feel it has. Beds are so comfy, with great space in each room we have stayed in over the last few years. The food is lovely with a good variety, and the staff are all so welcoming, along with it always having lovely Christmas decs that make it feel from home to home.
