The Thistle

Pros: Perfect for our trip at 07h00 to Ireland,stayed the night before . You could park the right outside room. Commication was brilliant, answered every question about our stay. Liked the wee colour scheme in the room. Great price.

Cons: Nothing.

We all had a great sleep which is very important, will definitely come back.

Pros: We like the property it was nice and cosy and a great location

Cons: I’d prefer to have heating control in the room, as when we arrived it was raining and we were cold and the room was also freezing but as soon as I called the owner the heating was out straight on.

Would definitely stay here again.

Pros: Very private. Large room and all facilities required were there. Only one staff member to deal with and he was very friendly. I was a late arrival and he still answered the phone for instructions. He came to meet me the next day to see if I was warm enough or if I needed another heater.

Cons: The car park was a bit awkward.

Perfect overnight stop for the ferry to Ireland.

Pros: The staff were friendly and accommodating, the room was tidy and very private. Its very conveniently located for the ferry to Larne. I would stay again in the future.

Cons: The carpark was quite small, I found it quite tight with my van, it would be fine with a car though.

We have stayed here on many an occation and will do for many more

Pros: Bed super comfy. room very clean. very quiet area, 5 min walk to all cafe's, shop's and bar's.

Pros: Owner was pleasant and friendly and let me book in earlier as i was attending an event. Room had tv was clean warm and had tea and coffee room was value for money

Friendly, and good value.

Pros: The very friendly host, Sandy, welcomed us as we drove in to the parking area. The Thistle is like and American motel, with the parking area in front of the rooms. Beds were very comfortable, tea and coffee in the room, excellent heating.

Cons: Just a wee bit old fashioned. Needs a shelf in the shower room for toiletries.

Pros: It was so cute and just ideal for what we needed for one night.

Cons: All good no dislikes.
