Squirrel Cottage

This cottage is fantastic

Pros: Extremely clean, including kitchen drawers and utensils etc! Beds were really comfy. Upstairs really nice and warm

Cons: Downstairs bedrooms were a bit cool but this wasn't a big deal because we were mostly in the cosy upstairs

Pros: The cottage is stunning! Perfectly laid out, functional and immaculately clean. The Facilities onsite are excellent too, with the pool being a particular highlight which my young daughter really enjoyed. We also tried out the restaurant and again found this to be superb. All in all, we will definitely return.

Pros: It was lovely place. We had very comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend to book this cottage. If I come back to lake district will book the same place again.

Pros: Lovely house, very clean, very new. Great location and amenities in the village. Andrew who helped us with everything was extremely responsive and very helpful.

A perfect stay at Squirrel's Cottage

Pros: Squirrel cottage was the perfect accommodation for a family. The owners had provided everything that people could need. There was tea, coffee and sachets of milk provided. The high chair with a five point harness was extremely useful and there was also a maiden, iron, hairdryer, soaps and towels. The additional amenities provided by Whitbarrow Village of the swimming pool and the games/cinema room for kids was an extra perk. I would 100% recommend the cottage to anyone in the area.

Cons: Everything was perfect for us and as we cook our own meals so being outside of Keswick and Penrith wasn't an issue but the location might not suit all. There is a restaurant and bar on site.

Pros: Perfect little cottage with everything we needed in it! Even an espresso machine. The owners were so kind! The grounds have a pool spa playground and more. Perfect spot for our few days away.

Pros: Kitchen was very well kitted out, the accommodation was very clean and well looked after.

Cons: Mattresses on beds weren’t that comfortable also seemed small, most couples have larger beds than a small double. Could do with a bike store.

Absolutely fab weekend, we will definitely be back

Pros: The cottage was absolutely superb. Modern yet characterful decor, spacious, and absolutely spotless. The beds were very comfortable, pillows and duvet etc of a high quality. Small touches such as the classic board games, comfy blankets, the variety of teas and coffee, and leaflets of things to do and visit in the surrounding areas, tells us the hosts really care about wanting their guests to feel at home, and to ensure we had a great time.
