Shepherds hut Dolly wagon

Lovely stay- nice and cosy and perfect for two people with everything you need. Great location.

Pros: Lovely little wagon- nice and cosy and gets nice and warm with the heater in there. Very good location easy to get too- 10 minute drive to Keswick town. Facilities inside are great and has everything you need- Bed very cosy and lovely chair and table outside to have a morning tea or coffee- Enjoyed our stay here.

Cons: It wasnt as clean as I'd have liked, bedding was clean but under the bed and in the cupboards and drawers where the utensils were needing a good clean. We only really slept there so it didn't bother us too much but it would have been nicer if it had just been a bit cleaner. We also read a welcoming pack with milk and eggs were included so I didnt take any but we didn't get those on either arrival or our 1st morning, shop was pretty close though so not a big problem

Lovely and cosy

Pros: Amazing view, comfy little hut cosy and warm. I saw a little too late that ypu cab order a cook yourself breakfast so will definitely do that for next time

Pros: The uniqueness of the accommodation, the host was wonderful.

Perfect

Pros: Everything from arriving at the Dolly Wagon, nestled in the incredible scenery with second to none backdrop. The facilities, area, Dolly herself were just perfect, easy to find and all in all the ideal stay for a relaxing night away. The host was friendly and nothing was too much trouble for her, her little dogs super friendly. Keswick not too far and a pub just down the road. Perfect for couples, families (i am going back with my kids) or even on your own as a solo traveller.... just perfect. Thank you.

Perfect Peace

Pros: This cosy little wagon is an absolute dream. Wonderful location, more or less at the base of Helvellyn. If you want a re-set, then this is your place. Surrounded by the comforting sounds of a working farm and being joined by chickens whilst sat outside enjoying the views was just lovely. Toilets were clean and the shower is absolutely what you'd expect as it's a shared shower. Do take some £1 coins to operate the shower. Louise, the owner, was lovely, helpful and chatty. Kindly left some fresh eggs and milk which was a lovely touch.

Cons: There's nothing to dislike about this place, basic but well equipped.

Pros: Beautiful location. Lovely cosy cute little space, and super little gifts of eggs and milk from the farm. Clean facilities nearby and peaceful area. Hills all around. Very good value for money and lots in the area. On a good bus route too, with stops at the end of the drive.

Cons: Nothing. It's all great and the host is lovely and friendly.

We enjoyed our time in the Dolly Wagon and would recommend it for access to key towns in the Lakes.

Pros: The hut had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The views from the hut were lovely and Louise had left us some fresh farm goods which was a bonus. We were there in lambing season so it was great to wake up to new lambs playing in the field every morning.

Cons: Could have been cleaner - some of the pots needed cleaning and hadn’t been dried properly before putting away so we needed to wash them before use. There was also some debris that wasn’t from us under the bed so this obviously hadn’t been checked for cleanliness. Shower facilities were what you would expect for a shared cubicle. You will need pound coins to operate the shower cubicle (£1 for 5 mins). We weren’t aware of this before arriving so had to go to the local pub to ask for some change before we could use the shower.
