Pros: Great property in a lovely, peaceful location. Had all amenities you could need and was very spacious. Nice patio area to sit by the river. Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and would definitely recommend.

Cons: The step between the lounge and the kitchen could do either being more obvious as two of my party tripped on it more than once. Maybe some sort of trim to really highlight it’s there. Noticed a number of previous guest comments mentioned the step too.

Pros: Fantastic little cottage.. Right by the river and a short walk (15 mins) from the town. Very comfortable and clean.. was a bit overkill for just us 2 but would also be great for family as also has 2 lovely beds in other room. Very nice stay.

Cons: As it was winter a few logs to get fire going would have been nice.. in fairnessI dont think the booking said the hosts provided.. But really does make a difference to have a fire on a chilly evening.. Flat was of course centrallly heated so no real need warmth wise.

Amazing and fun with a perfect lodge.

Pros: Loved the property. It had everything we needed and extras.

Cons: Toaster has only 2 slices working. Shower drain looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. However the rest of the lodge was spotless.

Very lovely, comfortable cottage with a beautiful view of the river.

Pros: Very clean, had everything you would need. Felt very much like a home rather than a rental.

Cons: The step from the kitchen, caught us out a few times!! 🤪

A real Gem and truly deserving of its 5star rating

Pros: This property was an absolute delight : spacious very well equipped and comfortable in a most idyllic setting .there was absolutely nothing to complain about. We were able to walk every day from the cottage and were totally self sufficient . It was really cosy and warm and although there was a log fire there was no need to use it . The owners truly put a lot of thought into how the property was presented and they have done a wonderful job . Thank you

Pros: Forge Cottage liegt in einem ruhigen Gässchen am River Greta. Die Unterkunft ist sehr geräumig, komfortabel und die Ausstattung überdurchschnittlich. Die Einrichtung und Küchengeräte sind hochwertig, alle Räume mit liebevollen Details ausgestattet. Die Betten waren hervorragend, wir haben sehr gut geschlafen auch wegen der ruhigen Lage am Fluss und der guten Luft. Auf einem Fussweg entlang der ehemaligen Bahnlinie kann man nach Keswick marschieren. Ein kleiner Spar (Tankstellen Supermarkt) liegt etwa 10 min. entfernt am Weg. Größere Einkäufe machten wir direkt in Keswick bei BOOTH's, einem lokalen Supermarkt, der ausgezeichnet sortiert ist. Wir würden Forge Cottage jederzeit wieder buchen, weil wir begeistert waren!

Cons: Den kleinen Sitzplatz draussen auf der Terasse beim Fluss könnte man etwas gemütlicher gestalten.
