Pros: Lovely, cosy cottage in an idealic location. The cottage was comfortable with everything we needed. The grounds were beautiful, and it was so peaceful. We really enjoyed our stay and exploring the local area.

Quiet and private getaway in a beautiful location.

Pros: The Stables property was very private, with no adjoining or nearby cottages. All the facilities were provided to allow an enjoyable and offline stay. The open fire was great and if not in use the building had easily controlled central heating.

Cons: The mattress, although comfortable enough, could've been a little better and in the bedroom there is limited storage and non to hang clothes(we managed but had to use the store cupboard hooks.)

Great little cottage in lovely surroundings

Pros: Lovely cosy cottage in a peaceful setting. Had everything we needed. Lots of wildlife, including a red squirrel hopping along a nearby fence!

Pros: Beautiful location. This was our 3rd time at the house. The housekeeper, Margaret, was a superstar. The cottage was warm and comfortable and we had an exceptional time.

Excellent, comfortable, warm and welcoming

Pros: The house is amazing. The location is perfect for walks. We walked up and around the reservoir which was beautiful. It's our second time at the cottage this year. We love it.

Stables cottage

Pros: The cottage was so peaceful and the surroundings were beautiful, we had the freedom to wander the estate with lovely woodland walks, and plenty of wildlife.

Cons: It was a bit hard to find, but I phoned the housekeeper and she helped us.

Nice place

Pros: Only problem was finding the place but when the housekeeper rang us that was a help

Cons: The step over the front door bit if a trip hazard no curtains on the doors quite draughty and we couldn't open the other door which was worrying ... fire etc
