Perfect for a stopover

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, super comfy bed, toiletries provided, towels fluffy and thick, everything spotlessly clean in the room. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Pleasant room and great breakfast

Pros: The guy at reception was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and the portions were generous. The room was spacious and clean.

Cons: The hotel needs a little sprucing up - the carpets looked a little worn in places and the bathtub was stained from minerals in the water coming out of the taps (so not dirty at all, just old).

Pros: The breakfast choices were great and everything tasty. Served quickly in a friendly, relaxed environment . Got a good nights sleep and had a lovely view of hills.

Cons: Everything worked perfectly for us, perfect for our visit to Wigtown Book Festival. Owner/Manager was friendly and pleasant. No complaints at all.
