The Regency

Pros: Clean and good size room Breakfast waa good value for money.

Cons: Limited days evening restaurant was open, but when its open, would highly recommend.

Pros: I like the ambience of the hotel. The breakfast was very good. I also much enjoyed the dinner on the previous evening; the food was very good and was much impressed by the efficiency and friendliness of the staff

Pros: Beautiful oak panelled hotel, it like stepping back in time. All staff were friendly and helpful.

Good value for money.

Pros: All round this was a good hotel - pleasant welcome, comfortable room and decent food.

Cons: My only quibble would be that I think more might have been done for an early breakfast before catching the 0800 ferry.

Pros: The old style of the hotel was fantastic, like a bygone era. Room was wonderful - clean and beautifully appointed with a very comfortable bed. The Staff on reception couldn't have been more accommodating - superb. The Sea view in the room was exceptional.

Cons: The Staff in the restaurant were slow and behaved like customers were an inconvenience, which was a great pity as the food was exceptional. They didn't smile once!

Nice food, great wine (Ribeton) - friendly staff. LOVED the lift.

Pros: Breakfast was delicious. Staff in the restaurant were very friendly and kind.

Cons: I booked through booking.com and wanted to cancel the last night with over 48hrs notice, but they wouldn't let me. Not a fault of Regency though. I ended up paying for an extra night when i wasn't even there !

Pros: Location, ease of public transport. Really friendly and helpful staff. The room was equipped well, mini fridge with complimentary bottles water. Ironing board with iron. Hair dryer, fresh milk on request for my coffee instead of the long life small milk cartons. I would definitely stay again.

Great quirky hotel,stylish,clean,comfortable,

Pros: Its in a great location,old world decor,I felt i arrived at a Scottish manor house,Quirky old lift,a bit narrow for my waistline, Staff were great,and 24 hour reception was great,as my ferry got in at 10pm,nothing was too much trouble,

Cons: Food was dissapointing,breakfast ,bacon was american style,really hard! And i regret to say the French style restaurant,No Rib Eye, And my sirloin thick cut,medium rare,was dry/overcooked and resembled roast beef,I know it does not have any fat content ,Onion rings were fluffy batter but so greasy! I was so much looking forward to french style steak and fries, Jacks bar had a better steak at a lower price,
