Would definitely return

Pros: Liz and Chris were the perfect hosts, the room was lovely and the homemade treats and breakfasts each day even lovelier! We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent stay, highly recommend.

Pros: Friendly hosts, made us feel very welcome. Really comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Superb location for walking into/around Keswick. Called to offer early check in as our room was ready.

Cons: Parking, a bit of a walk from where we found a free, on street parking spot, but this will be an issue anywhere in Keswick, so no fault of Goodwin House.

Pros: Liz and Chris were very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. We liked the fact you had access to fresh milk 24/7. And the homemade cake was delicious!

Pros: Excellent staff, very friendly and generous. Centrally located. They even left cake out at night for all guests!

Pros: Hosts were friendly and approachable. Details of local facilities in room, and discussed eg local theatre performance.

We enjoyed our stay very much and would be happy to do it all again.

Pros: Very good location, just a short walk into the centre of Keswick, and you can walk to Cat Bells and other fells from here. Our room (6, on the top floor) was very well equipped, and a very comfortable bed and great views of mountains from both windows. Breakfast offered almost every conceivable choice and was excellent, and it was very useful to have a list of local eateries which Liz and Chris enjoy (especially the Dog & Gun). They were friendly and helpful and we would certainly be happy to stay again. Parking is on the street, so no reserved spaces, but spaces became available in roads close by.

Cons: Maybe it was because our room has two outside walls and insulating these lovely old buildings is difficult, but when the heating was turned off in the evening we felt the temperature in the room start to fall almost immediately. An additional small heater in this room would be useful.

Pros: Had the best time in Keswick staying here. Liz and Chris were such a lovely hosts who were very kind and accommodating. The room was clean and of good standard with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was great also. Couldn't recommend more!

Perfect place to stay in Keswick!

Pros: Lovely attentive hosts who looked after us, excellent breakfast, ideal location, comfortable warm room. Spotlessly clean. Lovely place to stay. They have thought of everything you could possibly need.

Cons: Nothing, everything was perfect!

Nice long weekend break at Goodwin House

Pros: Excellent location just on Southey street, so 2 mins from the centre. Lovely old building and immaculately clean. Friendly and chatty hosts, no rule book thrown at you. Nice comfy room with a decent bed, facilites, and views of Skiddaw. Breakfast was A1. Would definitely come again

Cons: Only thing to be aware of is parking is on street but this is the same for pretty much all the b&bs in the local area.
