Grand top floor apartment in the Royal Bank House

Very comfortable, good location and great communication with hosts.

Pros: The location was perfect for a golf trip to Turnberry. The apartment was fantastic value for money and very spacious with all our needs and requirements met. An added bonus was having the Jet petrol station next door which had the cheapest prices I had seen for months! John & Naomi's apartment had an interesting collection of artwork, books, games and decoration which possibly gave an insight in to \

Cons: Nothing about this apartment was to dislike. The fact that there was no TV was a bonus.....we had to communicate with each other. We parked behind the apartment block too which gave us a view of the cars from the bedrooms.

Unique beautiful apartment

Pros: A beautiful, quirky accommodation with a wonderful homely feel. Masses of space, endlessly fascinating art and books. Well equipped kitchen including washing machine. Fabulous views across the rooftops to the countryside beyond. A great base from which to explore Ayrshire, Robert Burns Museum, Culzean Castle and the Western Isles.

Cons: The communal hallway is a bit disconcerting on first arrival and the town itself did not have the facilities we might have hoped for but the apartment itself makes up for it.

Pros: We had a lovely stay here. At first we were a little concerned at the prospect of no television but we quickly got talking and had a lovely time. Plenty of warm water, an excellent library of books, and we enjoyed the music too. All the rooms were clean and handsomely decorated. The kitchen was well stocked, the heating worked well, and the flat was well situated in the heart of Maybole. We would be very happy to stay again in this pleasantly quirky home.\

A very spacious apartment with lots of character.

Pros: This is a lovely, spacious apartment with lots of character. We had a great time using it as a base for new year celebrations. The host was easy to contact and very helpful. Cozy and plenty of hot water. Very clean and really comfortable beds.

Cons: It might have been nice if there were curtains in all the bedrooms and as there is no dishwasher it would have been good to have tea towels for drying dishes (we couldn’t find any so borrowed some from family).

Pros: This was a unique, shabby chique flat; the hosts gave us lots of useful information… especially the Greenside Pizza restaurant- fabulous! We loved the decor, the comfortable beds, beautiful kitchen and bathroom. Everything about this flat said, ‘Welcome’! Maybole is a lovely, friendly village where everyone smiles and greets you as you walk around. The stairs up to the flat may be daunting for some but the classic bank building suited us, perfectly. We plan to return and use this property to expand our knowledge of beautiful Ayrshire. Thank you John & Naomi. ( landlords).😄

Amazing weekend and made loads of memories

Pros: We loved everything about the property! The size was amazing and the decor was fantastic and brought back lots of memories. We had such a nice time as a family enjoying the surroundings. Great communication with the owners and I would definitely recommend this apartment 😊

Pros: Lovely apartment. Styled nicely with elegant decor throughout. Large, high ceilings and a fab location for Dalduff barn.

Cons: Only 1 bathroom which isn't a major issue but can cause a back up if all trying to get ready etc

Pros: The apartment is very spacious, comfortable and well decorated. The location is very convenient - we went to see Culzean Castle which is outstanding and 10 minutes drive away

Cons: Maybole as a town has seen better days/ It has retained basic shops, pubs and restaurants etc

Pros: The property is beautiful and spacious with lots of quirky details. We loved browsing the record collection and made good use of all the coffee gadgets. The rooms were immaculate and the beds were very comfy. The stay was very peaceful and relaxing. Thanks for having us.

Quirky and Comfortable

Pros: We loved the location and the roominess of the apartment. As well as the authentic look. Very well equipped, warm and comfortable. John was very helpful and accommodating via Booking.com, messenger and mobile.

Cons: The safe key lock box is located at the rear in a brick-built shed which is fine during the day but at night in the dark it is literally black and you have to use a torch or the light on your mobile phone. We were already aware of this as advised by John. The entrance to the apartment (stairwell) is quite run down and smells of damp. Not a great start to your stay making you think the apartment is just as bad - which it isn’t thankfully! We had a problem with the door to the apartment when we were leaving to go to a wedding the next day. We were literally locked in and initially couldn’t make contact with John. While trying to unlock the door we realised there was no other fire escape which would have been awful if there was a fire. John returned our calls and messages after we finally got out of the apartment (after 20 minutes of struggling) and was very apologetic. I just hope the dodgy lock has been resolved. Luckily we had no other problem with that door during our stay.
