The Cheeseloft - Spacious one bed with terrace

Pros: Our 2-night stay at Castle Creavie Farm was idyllic. The Cheeseloft was incredibly cosy and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The farm is wonderfully remote and surrounded by natural beauty. A true gem in Galloway. Highly recommend!

A beautiful hidden gem

Pros: A stunning location in beautiful D and G. Very comfortable bed and good sized sitting/dining room. The kitchen downstairs is small but well stocked. There is a good shower and the TV has all the channels you could ever wish for. We were made very welcome by the family with fresh eggs and help with local amenities. Everyone was friendly, helpful and relaxed. I highly recommend this accomodation!

Cons: I couldn't get the kitchen light to work (but there is light from the stairs and a night light) plus a shaver socket in the bathroom would be useful for electric toothbrushes and hooks for clothes. These are very minor points which I could have raised but ran out of time. Thank you Dan and Ciara for looking after us!

Pros: The peace and quiet setting, it was very tranquil. Lovely surroundings and really nice to be able to walk around the farm. The owners were lovely, very helpful and welcoming.

Cons: There wasn't anything we didn't like.

Pros: The family were extremely hospitable and were a joy to meet, making us feel very comfortable and relaxed from the outset. The location is great and the surroundings are lovely. We were cycling in the area and loved the routes we were able to do from the farm during our three days there. We enjoyed the animals milling about the yard including the dogs (both working and non working), lambs and chickens. We were encouraged to walk around the farm and its various trails which we really enjoyed in the evenings . The cheese loft is very well appointed and had everything we needed. It has an extremely comfortable super king bed, great shower and good kitchen facilities. The eggs were a welcome addition. Highly recommend and would definitely return. We were only sorry we had not booked for longer.
