Sandgate 2-Bed Apartment in Ayr central location

Pros: It was central to everything we needed. We were in ayr for a 40th birthday for a couple of days. The weather wasn't great, as expected for end of January, but it would be perfect for the summer months as you're a 10 minute walk to the beach.

Pros: Had the place to our selves brilliant location will definitely be using this place again!

Good flat

Pros: The location is very central. The instructions were very helpful.

Cons: No parking being specifically reserved for the flat, even though I asked for parking when I booked.

Pros: excellent location, quirky little property at a fantastic price..loved it

Cons: quirky lay out, surprised no upstairs toilet but not a problem

We had a good time. Place was ideal for what we were looking for.

Pros: Ideal for us, location was great. The hosts recommendations were very good.

Cons: The steep stairs to the larger bedroom. So slept on ground floor.

Pros: Location was fantastic close to beach,river,bus station,shops Apartment was very nice great size lounge and kitchen

Cons: A couple of thin pillows could help But there's nothing really not to like narrow stairs leading to upstairs bedroom For info; Steepish steps leading to apartment also

Quirky apartment in Ayr town centre

Pros: Great location in Ayr town centre. Quirky apartment with lots of character. Reasonable price for our stay. Good, prompt communication from the host.

Cons: It felt a little like we were borrowing a friends place. For example, a cupboard was full of haphazardly piled items. The bathrooms are configurated strangely so make sure to read the description carefully. The cleaning was fine but there was definitely room for improvement to get a 10/10 score. Perhaps a deep clean once a month for the hard to reach areas like inside cupboards and behind beds etc then just a changeover clean would keep on top of it. The neighbours don’t seem too happy about having a tourist rental next door, they were sullen when we greeted them in passing and watched to make sure we used the right wheelie bin for rubbish. It made us feel a bit like we were imposing and wasn’t the best welcome. The bannister up the steep interior stairs needs attention, it wobbles alarmingly.

A lovely apartment with all the mod cons.

Pros: The apartment was lovely and clean. It had everything you would need for a home from home experience. The location was excellent being near Bus Station, play park, beach and lovely pubs and restaurants.

Cons: The only thing I would criticise was the internal stairs up to the 2nd bedroom.We found them a bit steep and as the only toilet was downstairs, getting up in the night and going down the stairs was a bit of a challenge ,especially if your still not quite awake. Saying that, it would not put us off coming back.

Pros: The mix of new and old stuff throughout and the location. The owner was very helpful

Cons: Nothing I didn’t like except the horrible weather

Every home comfort, and great location!

Pros: A great wee apartment in a prime location, right on a busy street with lots of great shops and restaurants. Ten minute walk to the beach and parks, which the kids loved.

Cons: The outside area was dirty, the close was the worst, although I understand this is a communal area, it wouldn’t take much to brush it clean. The courtyard was the same, I was hoping I could sit in the sunshine with a book, but it was dirty too.
