After a day of cycling in the rain we were well looked after by the owners and all the staff

Excellent food and a great stay

Pros: We enjoyed a great stay at Wheyrigg Hall. The hotel is in a great location for touring Cumbria and the Lakes. It is in a nice rural area and being set back from the road we did not get disturbed at night by traffic noise. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good night's rest. Dinner was excellent as was the breakfast. Very friendly, helpful staff too.

A warm welcome and friendly hosts

Pros: The venue is undergoing refurbishment by the new owners. The rooms that are already completed are superb. Downstairs is in need of refurb but they have plans to do this. They have only recently taken over the venue and given their intentions am sure they will turn this into a first class venue. The welcome that we received was excellent and the hosts were very accommodating.

Cons: There is some renovations going on but it doesn't disrupt anything.
