Unbeatable!

Pros: The hotel was amazing. Our room (room 40) was spectacular! We were super impressed and will be back! We both work very long hours and this was the perfect break. Fab food for breakfast and evening meal. And staff were faultless! Superb all round. Thank you

As always, excellent.

Pros: We are frequent visitors and find the Marymount suits all our needs which are complex as my husband is a dementia sufferer. He is safe and staff help him when needed. I get a little break from caring 24/7.

Cons: No comments to make.

Wonderful landscape from a friendly hotel

Pros: Nice clean room with view of Derwentwater. Excellent location for walking the Keswick area. Pleasant and dog friendly staff. Attractive bar area that permits dogs and has games for guests.

Cons: No hot chocolate sachets in the room

A lovely short getaway

Pros: The hotel was lovely and staff very welcoming. Understandably there may be challenges to continue in the hospitality industry in today's economic climate so it was good to see a historic building extending and attracting custome.

Cons: Very little. We had a lovely view from our room which was very comfortable. It was lovely to have table and chairs positioned to enjoy the view of Derwentwaters and the mountains. It would have been helpful to have hair conditioner together with shampoo, abd hot chocolate as an option on the condiments tray. The bathroom was a little small and nowhere to put our own toiletries.

Perfect location & friendly atmosphere

Pros: The location is fantastic, close to many places and right on lake Derwent which is just stunning. Within walking distance for Keswick, plenty of walks to various fells from the hotel also. The staff at the hotel were friendly and welcoming! The rooms were fabulous! I really couldn't fault the stay the views from my room over Catbells were beautiful. The food was great and portion sizes large!

Cons: It wasn't a huge dislike, but the shower pressure could have been better. Otherwise nothing else to fault.
