The Gailes Hotel & Spa

The 4-star Gailes Hotel offers modern accommodation and a contemporary restaurant only a 10-minute drive from Prestwick Airport. Leisure facilities include a fitness centre, hot tub and sauna. Additional fees apply for leisure facilities. Payable at the property. All of the spacious rooms come with flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi and facilities for making tea and coffee. The en suite bathrooms include shower , as well as Scottish toiletries. The surrounding area offers golfing, rolling countryside and unspoiled beach walks. The Coast Restaurant at The Gailes provides a relaxed setting to enjoy a wide range of dishes created with the finest locally sourced ingredients. When the sun is shining, guests can take advantage of the outside terrace overlooking the hotel's private gardens. In our ongoing efforts to enhance our guest experience, we will commence work on the refurbishment of our bedrooms at The Gailes Hotel. This work will take place from 5th January 2026 until April 2026. We will endevour to have limited distruption to our guests during this time. Work will be done daily from 9am until 4pm.

Unfortunately , we did not have a good experience

Pros: The location was fine. It has a golf driving range, the course was closed though.

Cons: We had issues with our room, but the management resolved it quickly to our satisfaction.

A memory that will stay with us for years to come..

Pros: Very clean and welcoming. Staff very helpful and especially setting up our room for a surprise proposal after dinner. Staff even made effort to come over to us and congratulate us on our engagement. Food was delicious, spa was relaxing, even enjoyed a game of pool over at the sports bar.

Pros: Lovely clean and very spacious room Lovely accomadating staff

Cons: There was renovations going on on the first floor which hadn't been stated on the site. The noise started quite early before 8am , doors been thrown in skips nearby my room. I was there as a last minute getaway to destress and was enjoying a good long lie.

Perfect hotel for a relaxing break. We will definitely return to The Gailes.

Pros: Loved the bedroom, particularly the modern decor, and it was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was gorgeous too. The bar and restaurant were lovely. Best meal we’ve had in a hotel restaurant. Staff were lovely, very attentive.

Cons: Not a thing.

Had a lovely time just a pity the reception wasn’t quite as welcoming

Pros: Stayed a few times comfortable and modern hotel and very dog friendly . The waitress staff were fantastic however the reception staff not so much, no acknowledgement of your presence whilst you are waiting on them taking a call to a colleague, sending the guest to other areas of hotel for assistance

Cons: Waiting staff, food was fantastic and lovely atmosphere

I would definitely recommend the Gailes Hotel, wonderful atmosphere & fully lives up to expectations

Pros: The staff were outstanding, friendly, helpful, and generally all very cheery and welcoming. The room was a good size and comfortable, and lots of nice places to sit in the bar for both causal drinks and for eating. Lovely grounds to walk in, and plenty of parking available.
