Pros: Absolutely beautiful inside and out staff couldn't be more helpful the room was spotless the bed was very comfortable however could do with a choice of pillows as they are incredibly firm but other than that we can wait to visit again

Pros: Good service at reception and at breakfast. Excellent room and bathroom. Relaxing lounge and library. Quiet rural site despite the proximity of a main road.

Cons: The lack of a laundry service, a feature also lacking in some of the other hotels we stayed in England.

Pros: The property was exceedingly good. I do not know how long the full renovation has been, but it is in exceptional condition and all aspects of the operation are run in a top class way. The evening meal was a culinary delight and the breakfast freshly cooked to bespoke order.

Cons: We stayed in Room 3 which was wonderfully equipped and furnished very tastefully. My only criticism is that the room looks out onto the car park and such lacks a bit of privacy especially in the morning when it is necessary to keep the curtains closed. Also the room did not have a shower only a bath which I found a bit strange especially as the bathroom was very big.

A very relaxing stay in a great location.

Pros: My stay at The Fleece was exceptional, I had been concerned because of earlier negative reviews but all the staff were welcoming, knowledgeable and made my husband and I, & our dog, very welcome. We had a really lovely evening meal, the food was delicious & the presentation first rate. Our room was dog friendly with our own private entrance to the grounds & had everything we needed for our stay, including a bed, bowls towel and treats for our dog. It was a pity that we could only stay for one night but we will be back.

Cons: We would have preferred softer pillows & were only told as we checked out that this would have been arranged if we had asked. Maybe this could be included in the guest information in the room?
