Lovely relaxing week

Pros: Great location- walks from the door, pub round the corner. Keswick down the road for supplies.

Cons: Would’ve been useful to know about the planned power cut on our final day- then we could have worked around it.

Overall lovely week away with family

Pros: Lovely location Great for walk Great location for Keswick conference 20 min drive Cute place Parking quite tight And oven not too reliable (took 2 hours to cook a pizza - could put hand on shelves as not very hot) - used hobs for other meals.

Cons: Unfortunately night one the valley lost power (200 houses a wire had been cut) from 6pm til morning. This also meant no water, washing hands - flushing toilets. No lights or electricity to cook food and our weeks shopping in fridge and freezer with no power. We did find 2 candles to use and managed to get some dinner at 10:30pm in Keswick. Locals did say it was very Rare and we were just unfortunate. Couldn’t inform property owners as had no power, no reception no WiFi etc
