Fell Sweep Keswick mid Sept 2025

Pros: Very comfortable, clean and with all facilities expected. A good location too, with less than 10 minutes walk into Keswick centre.

Cons: Hallway radiator can't be turned off. The central heating controller in the hall was set to 26.5°C and despite having the manual, we couldn't turn down the heating to our preferred 18°C setting. So we had to open all the doors to bring room temperatures down in the evening. It was good for drying wet clothes mind you.

Great choice for a family of 5/6 if heading to Keswick.

Pros: An excellent choice for a 7/8 minute walk into the centre of Keswick. Really comfortable property that we all felt immediately at home in.

Cons: Nothing really.

Very enjoyable stay in a clean, well equipped and comfortable property in a quiet neighbourhood.

Pros: Very clean, well equipped kitchen with all electrical equipment provided, extremely comfortable beds and well placed for easy access to the town centre. Easy drive to visit most of the main peaks for walkers.

Fantastic stay, would highly recommend

Pros: Great rooms, comfy beds, a good amount of space and just absolutely fantastic value for money.

Cons: Cleanliness could be better, cutlery was still left in the dishwasher, a lot of cutlery hadn't been properly cleaned and we found a few disgusting well used tissues under our bed. These really were minor negatives for what was a place that went above and beyond my expectations for the price.

Pros: Great place to stay in,lovely rooms and very clean

One double room - not two

Pros: This is a lovely, clean, bright and comfortable place and an ideal location - not far to walk to the centre with easy parking.

Cons: Innacuracy of information on both booking.com website and Sykes Cottages, which stated that there are two double rooms and a third with two singles. In fact, there is one double with an en suite on the first floor with a bathroom next to it, and two rooms, each with two single beds, on the third floor. I emailed the managing company who have not responded or commented in any way. We were three couples, so may not have chosen this property if the information had been correct.

Lovely cottage a short walk from the town. Had all you need for a comfy stay.

Pros: Facilities were excellent and there were plenty of bathrooms for 6 ladies.

Cons: That shower room and bathroom were adjacent with no loo on top floor where most of us were sleeping.

Pros: Everything we needed was there, right down to the coffee plunger

Cons: Top story beds very firm

A beautiful property in a great location, really enjoyed our stay.

Pros: The property was in immaculate condition and ideally located to get into town.

Cons: The fire doors were incredibly noisy when they slammed shut, which echoed around the building
