Fantastic

Pros: Fantastic cottage, plenty of room for a family, 3 bathrooms was ideal. The welcome hamper was a nice touch. Kitchen was well equipped. Plenty of nice walks within a short drive. Wigton is 15 minutes drive away with shops and takeaways. The views are stunning to the rear of the property especially the snowy mountains. Lovely peaceful stay, would definitely return.

Cons: When we arrived the bins were full and the previous guests had left loads of bags of rubbish which were then blown all over the garden. Had to buy bin bags and pick up as much as we could.

A great place to come back to after hiking the back of skiddaw

Pros: There was a very generous welcome hamper on arrival. The boot room was amazing. 3 bathrooms. The house was perfectly equipped. The local pub was very friendly and served tasty food.

Cons: The location was perfect for hiking the back of skiddaw but a bit of of the way for everything else. No local shop.
