Dinmont Cottage

Love, love , loved it!

Pros: Fabulous conversion with a very quirky style. Jo (the owner) had thought of everything to make our stay SO good. Lots of nice touches - the warm welcome with mood lighting and soft music was delightful. The property is beautifully and tastefully furnished and Jo has made the most of the space to create a perfect place to stay. I loved the nods to William Morris! Jo also provided a welcome hamper which was very much appreciated- the coffee and tea selection goes beyond what you might expect! We brought our dog, Dudley with us and even he was provided with bowls, treats and a towel. This is such a special place to stay and great care has been taken to make guests feel welcomed. We only stayed for 2 nights but would happily have stayed longer. You have to book this place, you will not be disappointed. Easy access to Carlisle and local shops, what’s not to like. Highly recommended for a fabulous stay.

Cons: Faultless property!

Pros: We had a lovely comfortable stay at this cottage with our 2 cavaliers, it was just like home from home, very well equiped, with everything to hand, Jo the owner welcomed us on our arrival. Theres a great off road dog walk close by, and the village shops are a short stroll away. We would love to stay again when in the area.

Second trip here and won’t be the last!

Pros: This wee cottage is so cosy and perfect for a weekend stay. Ideal location for visiting the lakes, only about a 40 minute drive from Keswick which is lovely for a day out with so many great walks, especially for bringing a dog! The host is lovely and went above and beyond to make sure our stay met up to expectations.

Cons: Nothing at all!

Our return stay did not didappoint - Dimmock Cottage is first rate.

Pros: Great wellcome treats - enough for two nice breakfasts and more! Cosy and welldesigned living area with well stocked kichenette and a modern shower room.

Pros: Great property with great attention to detail. Can’t wait to come back.

A luxurious home from home place to stay

Pros: Very comfortable and homely converted outbuilding. Has been renovated to a high standard with a good eye for decor. Lots of thoughtful added features, such as breakfast items and treats. Love having 'proper' coffee and the option of decaf too. We felt very at home here and it feels private. Only 10mins walk to a pub, fish & chip shop and co-op or 5min drive to Carlisle.

Cons: Only thing was being close to the road which is a bit noisy.

Nice and comfortable stay.

Pros: The main room is spacious and nicely decorated and the kitchenette is very functional. The coffee maker is fantastic and we could enjoy some nice cappuccinos! Everything was clean and tidy. The hosts gave us a lot of goodies for breakfast and snacks, so kind of them! :)

Pros: Lovely fresh eggs, butter porridge and croissants left aswell as different coffees and teas and some lovely biscuits to enjoy on our arrival, which was very welcoming.

Pros: Beautiful little property with everything you needed and lots of nice little touches to make you feel welcome and even treats for the dog. Spotlessly clean with a nice bathroom, kitchen is small but big enough for what you need and had everything you needed. Good location for anyone who is doing The Wall as it's not far from Carlisle Town centre. There was a short walk to a nice pub for food and a local Coop in walking distance.
