Pros: Lovely room, great location, friendly helpful owner. First time staying here - we'll definitely be coming back.

Perfect stay, would highly recommend.

Pros: Comfortable bed, beautiful decor, big rooms, great location, spotlessly clean, cosy warm, our host John couldn’t have been better. Great breakfast.

Cons: Absolutely loved it all. No problem for us our but our room was on the top floor, we are not young but for some reason we didn’t find them a problem at all.

Loved it. Extremely good value for money and John is great.

Pros: This is the top floor of John's (the host) victorian house. You get to it up some quite steep stairs and John lives off the first landing and the room and bathroom itself is at the top. John does not come upstairs whilst you are there. John is also is very chatty and funny/sarcastic, which I like, but if you just wanted to bolt to your room and shut the door then I'm sure he would be fine with that too.

Cons: Nothing. I really like John and he went out of his way to make us very welcome. The breakfast was excellent too and he catered very well for my wife who has Coeliac Disease. The breakfast is in a very quaint and beautifully decorated little panelled dining room off the kitchen.

Perfect for a mini-break

Pros: I love Moffat, I think it's a magical little town, I've stayed here a few times by choice when the opportunity arises with work. Kirkview House is a gem, lovely big room and bathroom, corner bath is a bonus. Breakfast was perfect and heathy just how I like it. Parking is easy enough very close by in the central area. John is a very knowledgeable host and was enlightening me on some of the towns rich and fascinating history. There's a few great pubs and places to eat, The Balmoral does proper food at a reasonable price. Work finishes for me in March but I will be sure to return for leisure during my retirement.

Cons: No downside.

Perfect friendly stop on way to highlands and due to bad weather Jon allowed me to arrive early

Pros: It was a lovely well appointed suite and Jon’s attention to detail and individuality throughout the property was lovely in a rental market awash with bland , sameness! Breakfast was a nice , homely relaxing affair . Jon doesn’t do a conventional cooked breakfast but I had lovely scrambled egg and avocado on sourdough, just right for a vegetarian and freshly squeezed orange juice and a tea - perfect 👌

Comfortable and peaceful stay in a relaxing location with a wonderfully interesting and kind host.

Pros: Well furnished and comfortable room in a scenic countryside village. Wonderful nights sleep opposite the church and a delicious breakfast. John went the extra mile to make us both feel comfortable.

Welcoming, comfortable stay in central Moffat

Pros: Central location with easy parking close by. Lovely host who was very welcoming. Spacious room, landing area and bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Delicious breakfast. Loved everything about this place!

Cons: Nothing - although some may struggle with the stairs and luggage.

A little gem.

Pros: A little gem in the heart of Moffat. Large bedroom with large bathroom. Freshly cooked breakfast, prepared by the welcoming host.
