Burnside was a Gem for our Easter Retreat!

Pros: Rob was a great host. He showed us around. We could see the apartment wanted for nothing. It was light and airy, due to the velux windows and lovely view of the garden. We were delighted with our Easter treats. Additional small eggs were dotted about the place. It was like an Easter egg hunt. Nice touch! Food essentials were provided, along with fresh fruit. Everything was catered for. The additional conservatory was an added bonus. It led outside to the decking and the garden. It was tranquil and relaxing. There is lots of wildlife. Binoculars came in handy! The spacious wet room has a brilliant shower. The location was ideal for exploring Dumfries and Galloway. We revisited old haunts. Should we revisit D & G in the future, then we would stay at Rob and Ang's place. It is so cosy and homely.

Cons: The bed was a little low and small for us. A larger TV in the living room would have been better.

Pros: Everything was easy to use and very clean it was a good stay all round.

Cons: The bed was very low to the ground and I fell out of it and hit my head on the bedside cabinet but that would not put me off staying again.

Fantastic homely tranquil cottage feel

Pros: Place was immaculate and buitiful Rob and ang where great hosts very knowledgeable always around if u needed anything left you to have your own space place was clean and inviting 2 min walk from bus stop 20 mins on bus to dumfries whould defo stay here again in future

Friendly host, quiet location, good facilities.

Pros: Rob was a very welcoming host. It was a great location for us , as we were attending the World cycling championships in Dumfries. Rob had provided everything that we needed. Pretty patio area.
