Pros: The Stroan is very homely The furniture and fittings are all of a high standard The location in New Galloway is quite isolated But I chose it for that reason Some nice rural locations to visit Shop downstairs is really well stocked and is priced reasonably with great friendly service from the ladies who work there

Fabulous house

Pros: It was very tastefully decorated. It was well equipped. It was very spacious. The bed/bedding were extremely comfortable. The location was perfect for visiting the surrounding area. I was pleased that my stay was helping to keep the community shop open.

Cons: There wasn't much to not like. Could have done with a baking tray for my ready meal/garlic bread. I wasn't keen on the non slip mat in the downstairs shower, it never seemed to dry and was a funny texture to stand on. These are both very very minor comments and did not detract from my enjoyment.

We visited family and had the best time!

Pros: It was beautifully furnished and to a very high standard. Everything we could have wished for.

Cons: Could do with a full length mirror in the double bedroom downstairs. But that’s only my preference it’s not a criticism.

Relaxing week in a quiet, scenic part of Scotland.

Pros: Beautiful place to stay, really nicely laid out home. Comfy sofa and the bath was incredible.

Cons: I don't think the host could have improved much honestly. Only drawback is more linked to the location in that if you want to eat out on an evening you have to drive to other villages.
