Fox Cottage

Absolutely lovely place where you feel well looked after, highly recommend it

Pros: Parking for two cars. There was a garden which we had access to. The work has been done very well. Hosts stated they were happy to be contacted and could help with places to go etc or you could spend your time there without getting in touch with them. Big bedrooms with plenty of room and comfy beds. Open kitchen, dining living space with the living space a bit segregated. We arrived in the dark but there were plenty security lights that came on as we approached. 20 min walk into the centre of town with a few possible routes. Milk, eggs and oatcakes left out for us plus other nice touches like babysitter available if you needed one.

Cons: No wardrobe or place to hand clothes on hangers. Not an issue if you are staying one or two nights but could be a bit of a pain if you were staying a week.

Home away from home

Pros: The cottage had everything we needed, and it was full of charming fox-themed touches, which the host clearly loves. My kids adored all the little fox details! Everything was ready for us, and we felt right at home—warm, cozy, and comfortable. We had a lovely stay, and the next day we enjoyed a visit to Moffat town center. The location was great, too!

Cons: The only improvement we’d suggest is that the route to the cottage could be clearer, especially since we arrived quite late. It might help to have a few more visible signs or directions along the way. Once found, though, it’s all worth it!

Quaint little cottage

Pros: Quaint little cottage done to a high standard and furnished beautifully. Perfect location with easy walking distance to centre of town. Would definitely stay here again

Cost and comfy cottage .

Pros: Lovely cosy cottage. . Really well set out and easy to live in. Lots of lovely touches. The Welcome Pack was much appreciated. Comfortable beds.

Beautiful well equipped cottage in superb location

Pros: Lovely furnishings, facilities and accessories. Great welcome basket with eggs, oatcakes and biscuits. Cosy and warm. Really relaxing. A home from home.

Ideal base for exploring Tweedsmuir and surrounding areas

Pros: Quiet and well located with off street parking and garden.

Cons: Unfortunately the bathroom was cold but our stay coincided with subzero outside temperatures.

Pros: It was very well furnished and felt very cosy, had everything that we needed for cooking, showering, entertainment and cleaning. We even had a welcome basket with some eggs and some sweet treats !

Pros: It's a lovely, cosy cottage. All you require for a night or two away from home. Good location to town. Will definitely rebook in the new year.
