Fantastic place from which to explore beautiful Keswick and do some hiking.
Pros: Great location. Nice facilities like great water pressure, utility room and underfloor heating in the bathroom. Nice space, lots of light. Well stocked kitchen.
Cons: Unclear about where to put recycling (info pack on arrival would be great.). Kitchen needs sharper cooking knives.

Lovely house, let down by the agent.
Pros: The house was excellent for two couples, airy, light and very clean. Parking was next to the house but very narrow to access. It was fully equipped and in a great location for the town and lake. The park and river over the road were a bonus.
Cons: The agency ( Sykes Cottages ) were impersonal and unresponsive. The house had lots of litter outside the front door, over flowing bins and stated that checkout was 09.00am ,not necessary to be so early surely? Booking.com suggested that you could contact the owner to request a different checkout time but Sykes Cottages do not appear to respond to messages through Booking.com. Instead they send out 8 emails with the rules stated and the access codes buried in their long winded emails. I contacted them during the stay about the litter using their system on WhatsApp. The bot said we would be contacted by a customer service member. No contact since. A disappointing first impression seeing the litter. I will look for Sykes Cottages as the agent in future on Booking.com and will go elsewhere.

Beautiful house in a perfect location!
Pros: The location was perfect, easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Loved the upstairs living room with amazing views! The parking space was a bonus…even if it did take a few trips round the block to find out how to get access to it!
Cons: We seemed to be missing a barbecue (or at least we couldn’t find it!) and there is a reason there are no pictures of the garden, more of a space between the back door and the gate…not that it mattered as you are surrounded by amazing views and outdoor spaces!

Excellent well maintained property in very good location.
Pros: The living room upstairs and open plan. The spacious utility room..The location opposite the park and convenient to the shops etc. it was a place to relax in with two very comfy settees.
Cons: The TV set had very poor sound quality which meant having to use subtitles.

The stay, although dominated by my work was brilliant. The house was very clean and very comfortable
Pros: My work was at Keswick museum so location for me was excellent. Early morning coffee was catered for by the local coffee shops, no problems at all.

Clean, spacious and well equipped accommodation perfectly located to enjoy the surroundings!
Pros: The location of Wrenville is perfect for a number of climbs including Latrigg, Skiddaw, Blencathra and a short 20-25 min walk through the town takes you to Portinscale to access to the marina for watersports. This walk continues to the climb to Catbells. The inverted house layout was perfect for seeing the views of the surrounding hills in the morning. The house is also a great base to reach nearby places within about half an hour's drive such as Buttermere, Ambleside etc. Equally it is just a stone's throw from the town centre for access on foot to shops, cafes, restaurants and indoor activities.
Cons: The bedrooms face the road and the glazing is not suitable to block out the road traffic noise from Penrith Road which is reasonably busy. This did wake our daughters up early but they did get used to it eventually. It would be beneficial to have better sealed glazing and/or secondary glazing to reduce the noise.

Would happily stay again 👍
Pros: Great location, interesting parking, but good. Very spacious and comfortable lounge and dining area. Excellent being opposite Fitz Park.
Cons: One of the living room table lights, was not working, as was one of the main bedroom bedside locker lights (likely just the bulbs), also only one toilet roll for three adults meant shopping for extra very quickly. Extremely squeaky flooring downstairs. A second toilet downstairs, possibly within the large downstairs utility room would be very useful.

One to remember! Wrenville was the perfect base and somewhere to relax after getting those steps in. away from the routi
Pros: Great location, plenty of space, home from home, great view, comfortable. Missing it already.
Cons: Loved everything about it. Not something major but would have topped it off if there was catch up TV or Netflix for movies, nothing better on those winter nights or being out walking all day then settling down for the evening. Only fault we couldn’t get the electric fire working to make it cosy.
