Excellent Stay

Pros: Spacious accommodation, lovely and clean and well maintained. Nice quiet area. Dog friendly - towels, treats and poo bags provided for them, which is very thoughtful. If visiting the area again, we will definitely look at booking this lovely bungalow.

Cons: A secure garden for dogs would be good, but this wouldn't stop us from staying again as we really liked this place.

Pros: It enabled us to have a homely experience, rather than hotel rooms. We chose this as it was dog friendly, Its location is fabulous for Gretna Green, and as our daughter was getting married, allowed us to have the space to, in the comfort of this beautiful home. I did prepare by taking essentials, milk, tea, coffee, however, the host did provide it. Their attention to detail in the welcome guide is wonderful. Lots of places nearby to eat and shop. We opted for their recommendation of local fish and chips. The Gretna Getaways story, which can be found in the welcome pack, is an emotional read. I wish the hosts a happy, healthy 2024, many thanks, The Little, Lewis family x

Nice cozy bungalow

Pros: The location to Gretna Green was ideal for us. The house was a nice size and cozy. The complimentary treats were a nice touch and also the dog box with towels and poo bags was also very considerate and helpful.

Cons: The WiFi connection was not good for streaming. The garden even though a nice size is not secure if you have a small dog as they can get out under the boundary fence.

Perfectly placed for a break in our journey

Pros: Lovely, spacious property in a quiet location yet close to amenities such as convenience store and places to eat. The house was spotless, had everything we needed for our stay, and ideally situated for a stopover on our journey to the western isles. Also well placed for the shopping outlet although we didn’t visit.

Perfect stopover of for a couple of days in and around Gretna.

Pros: Better than the blurb. This is a great find for people travelling with a need for more than one bedroom. Really well appointed and very comfortable. Great to be able to do some washing and cook some breakfast. Convenient to the Highway but without the noise of a motel. A lot of nice touches that show the hosts know what guests expect.

Cons: It would be great if the double bed was a little larger but that’s more to do with the reviewers height than the bed.

Very easy, comfortable overnight stop for us, would definitely recommend.

Pros: Easy to find, great location, excellent communication with host, comfortable and quiet. Even had fish and chips delivered to the door.

Pros: No photos do this cottage justice, an absolute gem of a place with everything considered.ideally situated for anyone heading north for a layover..cannot recommend enough
