Miners Cottage

Great stay in a lovely cottage.

Pros: Very clean and tidy and well-appointed for a break. We were only staying for 2 nights but the facilities would have been suitable for a longer stay if required. Sue was very welcoming.

Clean, well equipped and nicely furnished and decorated.

Pros: It was compact. Easy to get to other places. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and very pretty

Cons: Bathroom was cold, but it was November with frost on the ground so not surprising really

Perfect for Turnberry and Troon

Pros: There is a lovely private garden to sit in with flowers and a table & chairs. We were able to park our car immediately outside the front door and it’s easy walking distance to the train station

Quiet, beautiful break away!

Pros: Our host was so kind! Sue gave us a booklet with EVERYTHING we could possibly want to know about the cottage and the surrounding areas that we could visit. We went for a quiet get away and that was certainly what we experienced! Can’t thank her enough

Cons: There wasn’t a part of our stay that we didn’t enjoy! Quiet getaway was exactly what we got. The amenities in the cottage were perfect and the surrounding area was too!

Pros: Had an absolutely wonderful time, Beautiful cottage and the owners were so welcoming and accommodating! Can't recommend it highly enough! Handy for the Beach and shops, Awsome little enclosed garden /patio/suntrap! Doggo loved it too (they were very dog friendly) can't wait to go back! 😍

Beautiful home from home

Pros: Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed for a very short stay. Beds so comfy. Cosy and warm. Great to have the garden area although we didn't use it. Asda 2 minutes away for shopping. Our host Sue was very welcoming and helpful.

Cons: Bedrooms spacious but living area/kitchen are a little bit tight for 4 adults. However, we were in the area for a family funeral so didn't spend long indoors.

Outstanding. Hosts were fantastic. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and return.

Pros: Everything! Immaculate. Everything has been thought of. Lots of little extras which really make the difference. The garden was beautiful too. We brought our two dogs and it was perfect x

Wonderful Weekend Stay

Pros: Lovely clean accommodation with everything that you need for a comfortable stay. The house is very easy to find and within walking distance to the local shops. Sue is very knowledgeable gave us recommendations of places to visit and where to eat in the area. We will be back the next time we are visiting family in the area.
