The Blue House holiday home

Pros: Location, lots of shops and eat out in 2-5 minutes walking distance. Perfect for Scafell Hike.

Fabulous stay

Pros: It was clean and spacious. Good size rooms and beds bathrooms clean and beautiful. Sofa was comfortable in the lounge and 2 large dining tables but not enough chairs. Beds and bedding we comfortable and clean. All rooms had adequate facilities although 1 had a broken hanging rail left on the floor. Heating works very well as the house was so damp it soon took that away.

Cons: The oven desperately needs cleaning and it set off the smoke alarms which had been dangerously covered over with cling film. We got locked in the smaller bedroom as the door handles was broken. The parking area we struggled as only enough parking for 2 vehicles 3 at a push but that means blocking in the neighbours. For 12 there was very limited supply of cups and glasses quite a few had chips and one glass in the cupboard had be broken and my daughter cut her finger deeply on it. House had a very damp musty smell to it especially in the kitchen area.

Pros: The property met our expectations very well. Very clean! Kitchen was well equiped for our needs. No problem at all with the keys. 2mins walk to market I would stay there again!

Cons: max car park space is just two cars and has to be sorted out with the next door neighbour..

Pros: Exceptional!!! Much better than we expected and we simply enjoyed our stay there. Shampoo, bodywash and hand-wash all provided. Modern, clean kitchen with all the utensils needed. Shops and takeaways all nearby. Bathroom and rooms all very clean. Overall fantastic value for money.

Had a great weekend exploring Lake District house was nice and comfy and a great location locals were all friendly

Pros: Convenient location, quiet and nice place. House has been renovated, clean and modern design. A spacious and comfortable house.

Highly recommended property to anyone with big families and groups.

Pros: We were 2 families with 12 people all together who stayed there for 4 nights. Rooms are spacious, very clean and neat. Bathrooms all are very neat and tidy. We were provided with all the necessary things needed for the stay. Kitchen got all the basic facilities with cooking utensils and much more. We all liked the stay in this property. There is parking for 2 cars. Highly recommended property to anyone with big families and groups. House also got living room and it was also spacious for our children to play. If any of my friends wanted to visit Lake district I will recommend this property.

Cons: Parking was a little bit tricky as we both families had very big cars. Neighbour hood is a bit rough, but house is very good to stay

Amazing house, shame its inside a pub beer garden

Pros: Massive house, superb facilities, ultra clean throughout and lovely thick walls. Would defo stay here again, but maybe not for work when we need to be up early next day.

Cons: Sadly the house is location inside the grounds of a pub beer garden, when you're in the kitchen you are literally face to face with patrons sat outside having a beer 🍺 coupled with the very loud atmosphere and night club music at the weekend, it ensured none if us were going to bed early.

Great base for a big family.

Pros: Big house, plenty of space, nice modern kitchen and bathrooms. Great communication with host. Everything we needed for a big family to explore the area.

Cons: Derelict house at back of property but didn't affect us except for the view.
