Relaxing, comfortable stay

Pros: Beautiful peaceful location, yet not far from attractions and activities. Unique property, tastefully and thoughtfully restored cottage to a high quality using local and natural materials.

It was perfect for us. The area is not as commercialised as the southern lakes and that is exactly what we were looking

Pros: Ideal location for our stay. We had everything we needed and our hosts were lovely people. Clean and cosy with a rustic feel, we and our dog loved our stay. Who doesn’t want to be woken up in the morning by the sound of sheep?

Cons: The week went too quickly!

Fantastic location at such a low price, the cottage is clean and cosy.

Pros: Fantastic location at such a low price, the cottage is clean and cosy and more than suitable for two people plus a dog. Our dog is a big German Shepherd and had more than enough room. The cottage is close to some beautiful walks and the nearby town of Cockermouth. The photos online don't actually do the cottage justice. It's a fantastic little getaway location. Plus the old posting posting house down the road does fantastic food.

Lovely cosy cottage in a beautiful quiet part of the lakes

Pros: The photographs do not do this place justice. It’s much bigger than expected but still remaining extremely cosy. The kitchen has every amenity you require. The living room with the log burner is perfect for dark cold evenings. Location is fab, quiet neighbourhood with a great pub nearby. (Sunday roast was delicious) It was the perfect stay
