Perfect cottage, fab location 10/10

Pros: We had the most perfect stay at this beautiful cottage. It is spotlessly clean and has everything you could think of and more! The kitchen was very well equipped, underfloor heating was delightful especially after a long walk. Great location only a 10 minute drive from Keswick and very close to parking spot to hike Scafell pike. Couldn’t have found a better property than this and would 100% return and spend longer than 3 nights here, it’s amazing.

Pros: Excellent property, very clean and well equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds. Good access to Keswick and made use of the bus that passed the house, bus stop only a few minutes walk away! We had a great stay 👌

Cons: Came with a friend and parking was an issue with two cars, we could just about fit them in the drive but it was tight and had to constantly move cars to get the other out - recommend only booking if plan to only have the one car. Otherwise great property!

Exceptional property with great views, everything we needed for our two night stay.

Cons: Could have had more logs available for the wood burning stove.

Pros: We were so happy with our stay. The area is stunning and so peaceful. The house is beautiful with an incredible view of the sheep and their baby lambs (not to mention the stunning mountains). Honestly this place exceeded our expectations. It was very clean and comfortable and the host left us a little hamper. Also, about a 10 minute drive from Keswick and a small walk to a lovely hotel where you can have coffee and drinks. My partner and I also did Scaffel Pike. We started from Seathwaite which was about a 10 minute drive as well. Overall, really enjoyable stay.

Beautiful views

Pros: Views from the bedrooms were absolutely beautiful - we didn't turn on the TV once, just sat watching the lambs play in the fields instead. Very clean and comfortable. Location was great for getting the boat to different places across Derwent Water. Would return and would recommend to others to visit!

Cons: The bathrooms were not as up to date as the rest of the house, but this is only very minor. Quite a few steps down from rooms to be aware of, but understandable in a characterful cottage. It was lovely to have a little welcome pack, but for us some milk and tea/coffee would have been better.

Allein der Aussicht wegen...

Pros: Modern renoviertes altes Steinhäuschen mit viel Charm und Komfort. Allein die Aussicht aus dem Schlafzimmer... ! Beinahe hätte ich bedauert hier nicht krank im Bett zu liegen mit Blick auf eine Schafweide mit Lämmchen, dazu die Weite der Landschaft, mit alten Bäumen und Weiden. Dahinter der See, begrenzt durch die Berge am Horizont. Inklusive ist ein Gartensitzplatz. Wandern ab Haus, die Bushaltestelle liegt schräg gegenüber. Nur als Anregung: Im Wohnzimmer den schweren Tisch nicht mittig platzieren, dann könnte man ihn besser nutzen, auch mal zum Schreiben, Spielen...

Wunderschönes Cottage in landschaftlich herrlicher Lage

Pros: Das Ferienhaus ist sehr geschmackvoll und solide ausgestattet, es fehlte an nichts und alles war noch ganz neu. Wir fühlten uns von Anfang an wohl in diesem Haus. Dazu liegt es herrlich und ruhig mitten im wunderschönen Borrowdale Valley, wo man vom Haus aus die schönsten Wanderungen machen kann.
