Pros: Great lodges , nice area for walks visiting the deer park and the goats.

Cons: Only down side and not any fault of the resort was that we stayed monday to wednesday and couldnt get a takeaway so dont have that as part of your plan.

Fantastic. Will be back next year.

Pros: Location was perfect, very clean and tidy. Staff were very nice and helpful. Lodge was spotless on arrival. Maintainence staff were cleaning hot tub everyday. As an avid mountain biker, bike trails were not far away. Would deffo return.

Cons: Wifi was not strong to reach our lodge but we had our own entertainment.

Fantastic chilled 3 nights with the family in beautiful immaculate surroundings.

Pros: Very clean, modern, well equipped. Nice touches like bowl and biscuits for the dog. Comfy beds, beautiful cushions, nice decor. Kitchen well equipped and the oven was excellent, usually we find ovens terrible in lodges/caravans. Great that towels and other pieces included like wash up liquid, bin bags etc. Little touches other places do not offer .

Cons: The only small thing we noticed that by end of our stay, on our 3rd night our hot tub water was quite murky but i guess that is to be expected as we were in and out it a lot over the 3 days.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Conifer Lodges and we will likely stay here again.

Pros: The lodge was warm on arrival and we were pleasantly surprised that the hosts had thought of everything. It was a proper home from home.

Fabulous stay in Newton Stewart

Pros: Beautiful location in woodland. Lodge was modern well equipped and spotlessly clean plenty of room for family of 4. Beds were so comfy. Not far from local supermarkets so will take less food next time and stock up when we arrive. Lovely woodland walk and loved the hot tub which we used lots. Overall excellent getaway. Will definitely return and try other locations. Would highly recommend

Cons: TV in lodge wasn't working too well but didn't spoil our stay. Lovely staff did their best to rectify problems.

Beautiful peaceful lodge- amazing surrounding views. Way too expensive for the ridiculous check in and check out times.

Pros: Absolutely beautiful lodge. Very peaceful and serene.Immaculate inside with modern decor. Has everything you need to be home from home(except a corkscrew which we had to knock on neighbours to borrow) Perfect position and a very well equipped laundry room next door with washer, dryer, fridge freezer, dvds and board games, iron and ironing boards. Hot tub was a Godsend after our mammoth walks around the forests and coastlines made better by the position of the lodge for watching the stars. On a clear night from the hot tub there are literally thousands visible right above the terrace. Great position of site. 3 min drive to supermarkets if you forget anything and right next to a massive forest which we followed a trek on the ‘All Trails’ app which was fab. Lodge had an information pack which tells you all local pubs and eateries in the area.

Cons: The price for the amount of time we were able to spend in the lodge. We paid for 3 days to get the most out of our break. We then received a confirmation email and couldn’t book in until 4pm on arrival and had to be out by 8am- 10am on leaving. So basically paid an absolute fortune for 1 day in such a beautiful lodge which took the edge off my birthday treat. We did ask to be able to enter earlier with having driven so far to be told no we had to pay extra. However we did get back a little earlier from our beautiful forest walk and the key was already in the lodge door slightly earlier than 4pm.Far too late for booking in and far too early for check out. It’s not a massive site and this could be managed far more efficiently for the prices charged. An 8 hour turnaround checking out 8am checking in 4pm is not acceptable for the prices charged. Could easily have been a midday check in which we do at the places we stay in the Lake District. Also got charged an extra £30 for our tiny sausage dog which even if he had an accident which he didn’t , was fully laminate floored in the lodge and easily cleanable by ourselves so not sure as to why we had to pay extra. He doesn’t take up a bed or the extra use of facilities. Don’t depend on WiFi as it doesn’t connect. It simply doesn’t work. Also the tv reception was very hit and miss and pixelated most of the time. Wasn’t a massive problem as we entertained ourselves and made the most of the hot tub and outdoor area.
