The Retreat

Pros: Having secure garden for our small dog. Very comfortable bed and cosy room as it was a cold snap when we were there

Cons: Only one minor thing was no hot water in bathroom, and we did not see it in the intanary, but was fine after kelly explained the reasons for this.

Fantastic!!

Pros: Loved the owners Kelly and Liam are so welcoming and friendly, loved meeting the two dogs too. The bed is super comfortable and the place was clean and lovely.

Cons: The only bad points we have was we are used to a king size bed so for us it was a bit snug but we expected that and being tall I couldn't check in the mirrors without bending and the space between the toilet and sink was tight but that's due to my height.

Pros: Perfect place to break a long journey. Easy to find, good parking, clear instructions. For a small apartment it was beautifully done and really well equipped. Immaculately clean and super snug even when it was -6 outside

Pros: Very clean and comfortable, great for the stop over we needed. Easy access and close to the M6.

The hosts Kelly & Liam couldn’t do enough very helpful anything I asked was done.

Pros: Everything was good it was spotless good facilities good hosts friendly atmosphere and would definitely recommend

Pros: The host was welcoming,kind and patient. The accomodation is clean, warm and cozy. Many little touches which made the location a joy to be in.

Cons: I am quite light sensitive and there are lights which go off intermittently throught the night within the suite. If a person is not light sensitive, this would likely go entirely unnoticed.

Lovely little annex for a couple who need somewhere for a short stay when travelling on into either Scotland or south to

Pros: Well located for onward travel to A75. It has a very adequately equipped separate kitchen from the bedroom/sitting area and an ensuite. It is located in a secluded and quiet area and a number of good restaurants to choose from within just a few miles of the property. Good communication from very friendly and helpful hosts.

Cons: In cold weather it would be necessary to light the wood burning stove, as other heating is not quite adequate, although this could also be viewed as a really positive feature for many.

Ideal spot for a stop over, had everything you need and was very cosy.

Pros: The property was easy to find. Garden was enclosed so safe for pets Had the comfiest bed!
